"Sanibel
Island's Source for Seafood" is located in the lobby
of The Timbers Restaurant. Opening daily at 11:00am (2pm
on Sunday) the fish market offers only FRESH (never frozen)
finfish, and the largest selection of quality seafood
in the Southwest Florida area. In addition to local Gulf
shrimp (cooked or uncooked), clams and oysters, The Timbers
Fish Market is the areas source for stone crab claws.
They are only offered fresh during stone crab season (Oct.
15-May 15), The Timbers features the hard to find "Jumbo
Claws" at very competitive prices. Complementing
the shrimp, crabs and oysters are the Timbers' award winning
sauces...spice red cocktail sauce and creamy smooth mustard
sauce.
Other
ready to use Timbers' products include the ever popular
dill sauce, garlic butter, house dressing, mango marinade,
jerk seasoning, blackening spice and our famous New
England clam chowder, ready to eat smoked peppered bluefish
has been joined by Japanese specialties such as seaweed
salad and sweet calamari salad. As Brian Silveira, our
fishmonger says "Try it, you'll like it!"
"WHERE'S
THE BEEF?" The fish market also offers the same
USDA Choice restaurant cut steaks that have helped The
Timbers win numerous TOTI awards for Best Restaurant
for Steaks year after year. Filet Mignon (2 sizes),
N.Y. Strips and Timbers Sirloins are always available
and steaks can be cut to your specifications (with a
days notice).
Mussels,
Florida Lobster Tails, Maine Lobsters (special order)
and soft shell crabs (seasonally) are just a few more
items that join the finfish list that includes regular
Florida favorites Grouper, Red Snapper and Pompano.
Cobia, Tripletail, Escolar, Seatrout, Marlin and Hog
Snapper make occasional appearances based on their availability.
